About Simon Langdon

Simon Langdon is an acknowledged authority on crisis management with experience of developing, implementing and exercising crisis management in large multi-site organisations. He was awarded Business Continuity Consultant of the Year and has been chairman of the International Disaster and Emergency Resilience annual conferences (IDER) since 2006. This year the IDER conference is being held in Karlstad, Sweden and is hosted by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) on 20-21 October 2009.

Simon's experience of crisis management includes working with central and regional government and across a broad range of business sectors at a senior level including the financial services and within retail, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, the media and the road, rail and aviation industries. He has conducted crisis management exercises in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

Simon has lectured on crisis management internationally and most recently in Eastern Europe and the Middle East and within the Rail Industry, the Aviation Industry and the Financial Services.
